The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the CUET UG 2027 online application form in the last week of February 2027 on exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG. The examination is scheduled to be held between 15 May and 31 May 2027 in Hybrid Mode (CBT & Pen-Paper).
A candidate can select a maximum of 6 test papers in CUET UG 2027. The most recommended and versatile combination for maximum university eligibility (including DU and BHU) is: 1 Language (English/Hindi) + 3 or 4 Class 12th Domain Subjects + 1 General Test (Section III).
For all 27 Domain-Specific subjects (Section II), the syllabus is strictly based on the Class 12th NCERT curriculum only. No questions are asked from Class 11th in domain papers. However, the General Test (Section III) covers basic quantitative aptitude up to Class 8th–10th level, logical reasoning, and general awareness.
Class 12th board marks do not carry weightage in calculating the CUET merit score. Admissions to Central Universities are based 100% on your normalized CUET NTA score. However, you must meet the minimum qualifying percentage (usually 50% for General/OBC and 45% for SC/ST), and Class 12th marks are used as a tie-breaker if two students have the exact same CUET score during seat allotment.
Yes! Students from Science (PCM/PCB) or Commerce streams can easily switch to Humanities (B.A. Hons in Political Science, History, Economics, etc.) in universities like DU, BHU, and JNU. For Delhi University, you simply need to appear in CUET in the subjects you studied in Class 12th (e.g., English + Physics + Chemistry + Maths), and your score in those subjects will be considered for B.A. (Hons) merit lists.
For Delhi University North Campus colleges (SRCC, Hindu, Miranda House, Hansraj, Kirori Mal), a score of 750+ out of 800 (for B.A./B.Com courses) or 520+ out of 600 (for B.Sc courses) is considered a safe score for the General category. For DU South Campus and BHU Main Campus, scoring above 660–710 out of 800 provides strong admission chances.
